4/1/19 – Admiral Packaging, Inc., a renowned print service provider located in Providence, Rhode Island, hosted the New England Lean Consortium’s (NELC) Lean Leaders Meeting, where they demonstrated their superior commitment to LEAN Manufacturing through presentations, tours, and feedback sessions.

One of the largest meetings to date, 34 professionals gathered at Admiral Packaging’s headquarters to discuss first-hand the successful implementation of LEAN manufacturing principles and share the philosophy, tools, and techniques surrounding best practices.

“Being recognized by the NELC for our LEAN manufacturing performance is a true honor, and shows our company-wide commitment to an efficient and productive work environment,” said Harley Frank, President of Admiral Packaging. “The NELC is integral to promoting LEAN principles across industries, and it’s an immense privilege to contribute to their mission through hosting the Lean Leaders Meeting.”

LEAN manufacturing is a systematic method for reducing waste in a manufacturing system, without compromising productivity. By incorporating LEAN principles into their plant, Admiral Packaging has committed to optimizing technology and working through process efficiencies with employees, cutting down lead times across the facility.

During the event, Admiral Packaging’s Manager of Technical Services and Continuous Improvement, Arron Carroll, presented on the company’s extensive implementation of Business Intelligence Tools throughout their manufacturing areas.

“Since incorporating LEAN manufacturing into facility operations, Admiral Packaging has consolidated manufacturing square footage by 50 percent and offset a 7 percent increase in material costs through efficiency practices,” said Carroll. “These notable stats speak to the culture of teamwork at the facility, and the true dedication our employees demonstrate daily.”

While showcasing facility efficiencies during the event’s site tour, participants were encouraged to ask questions and share ideas, creating a valuable forum for educational dialogue that deepened the knowledge of LEAN manufacturing across industry professionals.
