Admiral Packaging Introduces Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) studies

Part of their Admiral GreenVantage

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – A fourth generation, privately owned and operated, manufacturer of flexible packaging, Admiral Packaging, Inc. introduces a key tool of their GreenVantage initiative, a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) study.  An LCA study is designed to quantify the environmental impact of sustainable packaging solutions and provide a holistic and impactful report which compares packaging solutions in a side-by-side view.  Tailored to each brand owner’s specific requirements, an LCA provides a way to analyze a variety of packaging solutions in one report and provide data to help in the decision-making process.

“As one of the many tools that we offer with our GreenVantage portfolio, an LCA study is crucial to brand owners to determine the best packaging solution to meet their sustainability goals and consumer demand for sustainable packaging solutions.   The biggest benefit of an LCA study is that we can provide customized reports and metrics on each LCA depending on the needs of a brand owner.  This allows a side-by-side comparison of packaging solutions with data to drive decision making and highlight the best solution.  Sustainable packaging solutions are not one size fits all, and an LCA can highlight the best solution for any brand owner to meet their goals.” Says Ed Nugent, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Using industry-standard metrics and software, an LCA study is a comprehensive study of the full life cycle of current and prospective packaging options.  Every stage of each package’s life cycle is taken into consideration, from the time raw materials are produced to its end-of-life through recycling and waste streams.  The study includes both upstream and downstream impacts of materials, processes, distribution, and disposal.  Admiral provides a custom report that quantifies the environmental impact for each packaging option studied.

As Harley Frank, President of Admiral Packaging states, “Having LCA studies as a tool for brand owners to evaluate the best sustainable packaging solution to meet their sustainability goals is another way our team can provide best in class flexible packaging solutions.  Sustainability is ingrained in everything we do.”
